Nigel Batchelor is a culinary creative and storyteller whose long career blends worlds. He has competed on The Great Canadian Baking Show(CBC), Halloween Cookie Challenge(Food Network), and Crime Scene Kitchen(FOX).
Nigel has spent most of his life feeding people - restaurants, bakeries, cafes, TV sets, film crews. He’s worked the line, developed recipes, and crafted+styled food for TV and film shoots.
When he’s not crafting dishes or summoning eldritch breads, Nigel is busy being a niche disc sport enthusiast, a TTRPG writer, a playwright, and connoisseur of breakfast, brunch, and lunch (and snacks).
Outside the kitchen, he manages a provincial frisbee organization and works as a videographer and digital content creator.
His eclectic past roles include sports writer, editor, podcaster, graphic designer, and director of media in professional baseball.
He holds fast to the idea that our weird little passions are what makes us special and the closest most of us get to real magic.
